Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Patch (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use the Patch iOS application. Patch is a private mending desk for photographing garments, pinning wear, weaving a darn fill, matching thread, and composing a repair card on this device.
1. Summary
Most records stay on your device. Garments, pins, fills, repair cards, Coins balance, and unlock records are stored locally. Patch does not operate messaging, live streaming, or stranger-matching features. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
2. Information processed on your device
- Garment names, wear-point pins, stitch fills, and optional photos
- Optional short voice cues on a repair card
- Repair-card name snapshots after you compose a card
- Profile photo if you choose one
- Coins balance and consumable unlock state (extra spools)
- Basic preferences such as mend reminders and User Agreement acceptance
3. Permissions
Patch requests system permissions only when related to a feature you use:
- Camera — photograph a garment on Bench when you tap Camera, or a profile photo on Mine when you tap Camera
- Photo Library — choose a garment or profile photo, and save repair cards
- Microphone — record a short voice cue when you tap Record on Card
- Notifications — optional evening mend reminders
- App Tracking Transparency — the system prompt appears on first open after Continue so you can set Apple’s tracking preference. Patch does not use an advertising identifier to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and pinning, weaving, and matching a spool still work if you decline.
4. Purchases
Coins are consumable In-App Purchases processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. Purchase records follow Apple’s App Store terms and privacy practices.
5. Content on this device
Names and notes stay on this device. Patch may run a local sensitive-word check before saving a garment or pin name. Patch is not a public plaza and does not publish your mends to other users.
6. Third parties
Patch does not upload your garment photos, voice cues, or notes to third-party automated analysis services.
7. Children
Patch is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under the minimum age required in your region.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish a revision.
